Lambda's Role
We have been a lead investor for half of our portfolio companies: finding additional sources of capital, introducing professionals, and assisting in recruiting management.
We have served on the Board of Directors of a third of our companies.
The Review Process
Call us first, or send a brief e-mail, to obtain a quick indication of interest.
Then send us your Business Plan. This need not be longer than 20 pages. If the document is longer than six pages, we prefer hard copy, as it is difficult to read multipage PDF or Word files, particularly when one wants to flip back and forth between pages. We find that hard copy is much better if there are graphs or pictures; these rarely are readable from e-mailed files.
We pride ourselves in giving you a response within a week of receipt of your plan.
Then we will meet with your management team. A due diligence process follows. Our time to commitment is usually four weeks.
Note: Lambda has a policy of not signing broad confidentiality agreements. If there is a highly sensitive item, omit it from the Business Plan. If we are to proceed, we can then discuss the matter.
Time to closing depends on the number of firms in the investing group, and usually takes another four weeks.
