Some Thoughts on Venture Capital
Venture capital has financed companies that now account for about 21% of our GDP.
25% of the public companies financed by venture capital have an immigrant founder.
In 2008: about 340 venture financed companies were acquired, down from 375 in the prior year. Only 6 have had Initial Public Offerings compared to 86 in 2007. VCs typically finance
1,400 new companies a year; where are they now? This has impacted
