Stage
We invest when the company has revenue, but it need not be profitable.
Buyouts should have steady positive cash flow.
Public companies are fine, but at private company valuations.
Location
We are located in New York City, and prefer the Boston — Washington corridor, but we invest in California as well.
We will consider other North American locations if revenues exceed $4 million.
Funding
Lambda will make an intitial investment of $100,000 to $500,000. We are comfortable investing a total of $1 million in a company.
We often syndicate our investments; the size of placements we participate in can be as large as $15 million. We have coinvested with more than one hundred venture firms over the past fifteen years.
